Capone leads Qlik’s mission to be a leader in the Analytics Economy as CEO. Mike has first-hand experience in leveraging the power of data through analytics to transform businesses and entire industries. In addition to his extensive experience in high-growth SaaS companies, Mike was recently the COO of Medidata Solutions, a publicly-traded provider of SaaS analytics solutions to the Healthcare, Life Sciences and Pharma markets. There he played a significant role in the company’s product development, data science, professional services and go-to-market operations, accelerating its strategy to provide a comprehensive cloud platform that leverages data and analytics to transform clinical trials.
Prior to Medidata, Mike held senior leadership positions at ADP including Corporate Vice President of Product Development, CIO, and SVP & General Manager of ADP’s global outsourcing business. He was also head of product development and technology operations for ADP, one of the world’s largest B2B cloud services providers, delivering critical services to over 600,000 companies and 39 million of their staff members worldwide.
Capone holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Dickinson College and a master of business administration degree in finance from Pace University.
Senior Vice President, Office of Strategy Management
Drew Clarke, SVP, Office of Strategy Management (OSM) oversees Strategic Planning with the Executive Team; Corporate Development to drive the M&A activity to support Qlik’s vision; Strategic Business Development in partnership with system integrator and technology companies; and Corporate sustainability and Social Responsibility which has been a long-term strength at the heart of Qlik culture. Since joining Qlik in 2011, Drew has successfully led numerous strategic initiatives including the development and launch of the Qlik’s cloud product offering, and multiple acquisitions.
Before coming to Qlik, Drew was the Integration Executive for mergers & acquisitions for business analytics at IBM. Before that he was Vice President, North America Field Operations at Cognos Software for IBM, leading North America marketing, business development, channel sales, inside sales, and sales and marketing operations. He had previously held positions as Vice President, Global Marketing Operations at PTC and was a Senior Director at Siebel Systems in various positions including product marketing for marketing automation and call center applications, field marketing, investor relations and business development.
He has Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and has served as a Captain in the United States Army with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. He also holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.
Chief Technology Officer
Mike Potter is responsible for leading Qlik’s product management and R&D efforts. Since joining Qlik in 2014, Mike has scaled the R&D team and played a critical role in driving the product and transforming the delivery cadence from one major product release a year to multiple product lines released throughout the year.
Previously, Mike worked at Cognos for thirteen years, and was one of the originators of Cognos Business Intelligence products. After IBM’s acquisition of Cognos, he spent six years with the company leading global development organizations for Financial Performance Management and BI across the various Cognos product lines. Prior to joining Qlik, Mike was Senior Vice President of Engineering at CA Technologies, where he led a global development organization within the IT Infrastructure space.
Mike was an IBM Distinguished Engineer and is an accomplished inventor with multiple patents and expertise in financial analytics, financial performance management, data and business modelling, master data management, OLAP, SQL, and data access.
Mike holds both a Bachelor of Computer Science degree and Master of Computer Science degree from the University of Ottawa.
Chief Marketing Officer
Rick leads global marketing strategy and execution as Qlik continues to build upon its leadership position in the growing visual analytics market. A technologist at heart, he has more than 25 years of experience marketing software and services to businesses and consumers in the technology industry.
Rick joins Qlik from Rackspace where he was CMO and a member of the company’s senior leadership team. Prior to Rackspace, he served as CMO at VMware, where he was responsible for leading the company’s global marketing strategy since early 2009. In addition, Rick has led marketing organizations at Borland Software, BEA Systems and NetGravity, among others. He brings a valuable combination of SMB and enterprise marketing skills to Qlik, including his extensive knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure software, application middleware and developer frameworks.
Rick holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge.
Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary
Debbie is responsible for providing legal support on operational issues, as well as developing and implementing business processes to achieve business goals and mitigate risk. She also supports SEC reporting and corporate governance compliance programs, joint venture and merger and acquisition transactions, intellectual property activities, and also manages internal and external legal resources.
Debbie joins Qlik from McCausland Keen & Buckman, where she provided legal services to public and private clients in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business counseling and general corporate law. Prior to McCausland Keen & Buckman, Debbie was the SVP, General Counsel and Secretary for InfraSource Services, Inc., where she was responsible for corporate governance and compliance, SEC reporting, litigation management, acquisitions and divestitures, labor and employment, and general commercial. She has also served as SVP and General Counsel for SunGard Availability Services, EVP and General Counsel of RMH Teleservices Inc., and VP-Legal and Assistant General Counsel for SunGard Data Systems.
Debbie holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
Chief Financial Officer
Tim serves as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all finance, treasury, investor relations, tax, audit and information technology aspects of the company’s business.
Tim’s background includes both chief financial officer and chief operating officer positions at industry-leading companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer, Global Vendor Finance, for De Lage Landen International B.V. Tim also served as Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Crane Co., and held various positions at Xerox Corporation including Corporate Vice President and Vice President, Finance, Xerox North America; and Chief Financial Officer, Xerox Europe.
Tim holds an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Accounting and Law from Clarkson University. He is a graduate of the INSEAD International Executive Program and is a Lean Six Sigma Certified Green Belt.
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Chris is responsible for all Global Sales, including our customers, partners & alliances and our OEM business. Throughout his career, Chris has consistently demonstrated a customer and partner first strategy, with a focus on building long term relationships and value. He has spent over 25 years leading global sales and partner organizations across enterprise, commercial, government and service provider markets.
Most recently, Chris was the Chief Partner Officer, Infoblox, where he led the global partner strategy and organization. Previously, Chris was the President, Americas Sales and Global Partner Organization at Polycom, where he was responsible for sales, and overall partner go-to-market and sales strategy. Prior to Polycom, Chris has held several executive leadership positions with Avaya, Juniper Networks, and Cisco Systems.
Chris holds a BA, Economics, cum laude from Duke University.
Chief People Officer, Culture & Talent
As Chief People Officer of Culture and Talent, Deborah plays a vital role in aligning future-focused global HR strategies and operations with the company’s corporate vision, strategy and goals (VSGs). To ensure Qlik attracts, develops and retains the best talent, she partners with the business to create programs and opportunities where each Qlikkie, inspired around a common set of values, can realize and exceed their potential.
Deborah brings a wealth of human resources management expertise to Qlik and a deep understanding of organizational culture and transformational leadership. Prior to assuming her current role, she joined the company in 2014 as Vice President of Recruitment. Subsequently, she led the Business Partner team in tandem with the Global Recruitment function.
Before joining Qlik, Deborah served as Chief People Officer at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions—a leader in electronic health record (EHR) technology, financial management and population health administration solutions. Earlier in her career, she worked at Cisco Systems, the largest networking and communications technology company in the world. Under her leadership, she successfully ran an early-in-career sales training program. Between 1997 and 2007, Deborah was Senior Vice President of Business Transformation eCommerce for Bank of America. In that role, she was responsible for leading portfolios of technology change in the Consumer, Small Business, Corporate and Commercial Banks.
Chief Customer Officer
Roberto leads the execution of end-to-end global customer engagement, ensuring customers and partners are successful with Qlik solutions from sale to renewal. Roberto’s team will ensure customers gain continuous business value and receive quantifiable outcomes and Return on Investment. His team includes Education Services; Customer Service; Global Support; Consulting Services and Customer Success Management.
Most recently, Roberto was VP, Customer Success Services, Autodesk, responsible for leading a global services organization of 650+ professionals. There he managed the Named account and Cloud Success teams, increasing adoption year-on-year and driving long-term account retention and subscriber growth. Roberto holds a Diploma of Electronic/Electrotechnical Engineering, Engineering School of the State of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
